With three decades of culinary expertise and a deep love for soulful cooking, he’s known for turning simple ingredients into bold, mouthwatering masterpieces. His mastery of the grill is unmatched, but don’t be surprised if he sneaks in a stack of fluffy pancakes or a perfectly poached egg—breakfast is his secret love language.

Rooted in tradition and inspired by innovation, Chef Reggie blends time-honored techniques with fresh, home-grown ingredients from our garden. His food isn’t just cooked—it’s crafted, with family, flavor, and fire at the core of every plate.

Our Story

My love for cooking started in the heart of Moody, Texas, where my father, Joe L. Henderson, turned backyard BBQ into an art form. He built his own pits from old oil drums, and it wasn’t unusual to open the freezer and be greeted by a pig’s head staring back at you. That was just part of life. But the flavors he created—rich, smoky, unforgettable—left a lasting impression on me. Whether he was roasting a whole pig or whipping up a simple breakfast sandwich, my dad was one of the best cooks I’ve ever known.

Years later, my passion found new fuel when my wife Shaniya, my rock for over 20 years, blessed me with our three boys: Jaylen, Joseph, and Jeremiah. I remember us gathered around the TV, watching Chef G. Garvin, Emeril Lagasse, and the Iron Chefs work their magic. Someone would always say, “I’d love to try that,” and that’s when the spark truly ignited. We started recreating those dishes at home—from homemade doughnuts to fresh-from-the-oven pizza—and our hunger for bold, exciting flavors was born.

Flavors and Greens is more than a brand—it’s a tribute to family, tradition, and the joy of sharing good food. With this website, I’m opening the doors to my kitchen and garden, sharing the recipes, spices, and stories that have shaped my journey.
